Move-out Procedure

  • Reservation for room inspection : Contact the Residence Halls staff 2-3 days before room inspection.
  • Clean your room and restore it to its initial condition at move in.
    • All the things in your room must be returned to the original condition.
    • Common areas of studio-type and APT-type dorms for 6 persons, such as living rooms, toilets, terraces, etc., are also subject to inspection.
    • Take off all of stickers except for the IP address sticker.
  • Submit the room password
    • Residence Hall Website→ My page→ Click “My Housing”
    • My Housing→ Residence Information→ Other Information→ Click “∨ button” beside “Room Password”
    • Fill in the room password→ Click “Submit”
  • Having a room inspection.
    • Remove all personal belongings to the corridor when having a room inspection.
    • Charges may be incurred for damages, loss, or alteration of any room, equipment or building, or for any additional cleaning due to improper care of rooms or equipment.
  • Check out : After room inspection, you cannot wait in the room.
    • Switch off all power (lights, air conditioners, and heaters) except for the refrigerators when leaving a room.
Move-out Fines

Unauthorized Move Out 50,000 KRW

If you move out without any move-out report, you will:

  • Receive probation for the next semester
  • Receive a fine of 50,000 KRW and ban on living in the Residence Halls before paying a fine
  • Be subject to 5 penalty points in the next move-in semester
Late Move Out 30,000 KRW~

If you move out after the move-out hours, you will:

  • Receive a fine of 30,000 KRW and a ban on living in the Residence Halls until the fine is paid
  • Be subject to 5 penalty points in the next move-in semester
  • Remove all items not to give next residents inconvenient when you move out
Poor Cleaning 30,000 KRW~
  • Claim for actual expenses for cleaning services
  • Cannot live in the Residence Halls until the fine is paid
Damages or Loss of Equipment Depends on the item Including mattress protector
Extra Energy Consumption Depends on the amount exceeded Energy consumption will be limited to 100KW per month. Each exceeded KW over the average monthly usage (100KW per month) will be charged at 80 KRW.
In case of forced move-out due to violating resident rules (Which is the same as a move out due to accumulated penalty points):
  • The move-out procedure is the same as the early move-out procedure; however, no refund will be given for any maintenance fee during summer or winter session
  • Moving out is divided into general move-outs and forced move-outs.
    • Moving out due to accumulated penalty points guarantees an official enforced move-out date, and the penalized cannot move into another residence hall for one year from the subsequent semester.
    • Forced move-outs have to occur within seven days from the date of disposition unless there is a special reason, and those evicted are not allowed to move in for any semesters thereafter until graduation from their current academic program (language education, undergraduate, MA, or PhD program.
